What is Gel Printing?

Well, it’s a mixed-media experience like no other. Using our signatUre Gelli Arts gel plate and inks you can create mesmerising prints. Anything from photographs, magazine cuttings, flowers, leaves, tickets and even a cassette can be used to create impressions. (You can feel free to bring anything you want to use to create a print). You can even use everyday items like rubber bands, bubble wrap, newspapers and more. The possibilities are endless. Negative-positive images, image transfer, impressions and more are something we will explore in this workshop.

And because we’re using some amazing quality inks you’re assured of an awesome frame-worthy result. Whether it’s a memory or just expressing yourself creatively this workshop will be a fulfilling experience.

Once you know how to create these prints you can do any mixed media art, card-making, journaling, scrapbooking, and home décor projects. The water-soluble ink is non-toxic and cleans up easily with water.

This is suitable for ages 7 to 70 and has no downside. Trust is once you start you won’t want to stop.

You can go home with 3-4 amazing prints and a wonderfully memorable experience.

We will provide all the supplies, all you need to do is register!

What will you learn?

In this session of Gel Printing, you will be introduced to the technique of Printmaking, you will be guided in the process of creating illustrations using objects, leaves and more. Create stunning prints and take it home.

Who is teaching?

You will be learning from Sandhya Gopinath, a professional artist and educator, who is proficient in all mediums like acrylics, watercolour, oils, lino printing and other mixed media. With a Masters in Arts degree, she's an independent artist with her work featured in several exhibitions in different cities and several accolades to her name. She is well-equipped to guide novices and painting enthusiasts in the right direction and will make you fall in love with this medium. We've made sure that the session has something for everyone.

1. Where is this happening? - this is an offline in-person workshop happening at HTC, Royapettah Chennai. We currently don’t have any online versions
2. Are materials provided? - Yes, all supplies required for the workshop will be provided. So just bring yourself.
3. Who can participate? Any beginners from the age of 7 to 70 can join.
4. Do I get to take home what I make? Yeah, absolutely.
5. If I miss the class can I use it for something else? NO. We sell limited tickets. So please understand that we cannot refund, cancel, or transfer your ticket to another workshop. You can at best ask a friend to attend in your place. We cannot and will not offer any solutions for any reason you do not come for the workshop. You will forfeit your amount if you’re a no-show.
